Empowering Creativity and Inclusion: NDIS Choices Exhibition Open Day
Adelaide, SA – 5th November 2024 – CBS Inc. is proud to present the NDIS Choices Exhibition Open Day, a celebration of creativity, diversity, and inclusion. Held at The Mill Adelaide, this event will showcase the artistic talents of individuals living with disability, highlighting the importance of art in fostering community connections and personal empowerment.
The event will be hosted by Sam, a Moonlight Speaker, who will guide attendees through Beyond program.
Event Highlights Include:
- Acknowledgement of Country and Welcome by Sam Byrne, setting the tone for an inclusive and respectful celebration.
- Speeches by prominent leaders and representatives, including:
- Katrina Lazaroff, CEO and Artistic Director of The Mill Adelaide.
- Bradley Hughes, Assistant Director Community Engagement (South Australia and Northern Territory), NDIS.
- Michelle Hok, Senior Diversity and Inclusion Coordinator, Adelaide Fringe.
- Freddie Brincat OAM, Founder and Executive Director of CBS Inc.
- A personal address by Lydia Eden, an exceptional artist from the Bearded Dragon Gallery (BDG), who will share her journey of self-expression through art.
The exhibition is highlighted the transformative power of the arts, encouraging greater inclusion and representation of people with disabilities in creative industries. The Choices Exhibition is a testament to the National Disability Insurance Scheme’s (NDIS) ongoing support in fostering meaningful opportunities for individuals to thrive.
The event is conclude with remarks by Fabien and our Moonlights speaker Sam, leaving attendees inspired by the stories and achievements shared throughout the day.
