Beyond SACE: SACE Community Learning program, enrolling now for Term 1, 2024
Beyond SACE is a brand-new SACE community learning program facilitated by CBS Inc. and available for enrolment for Term 1, 2024 in Adelaide and Murray Bridge. Beyond SACE is designed for school students with disabilities in Year 11 or 12.
Beyond SACE has two units:
- Work Discovery (Stage 1): trains participants to find and apply for open employment that suits their skills and personality
- Work Fit (Stage 2): trains participants to be effective employees and upskills them for work in administration, hospitality, and retail
Each unit awards 20 SACE credits – that’s as much as one full-year school subject!

Finding and keeping a job
“Beyond. Making it Happen!” is the CBS Inc. NDIS funded finding and keeping a job program.
Our Beyond. Making it Happen! program has two modules. These are delivered in small groups or one on one and can be provided for up to two years.
Together the Work Discovery, and Work Fit modules make up the whole program. You can enrol in any of the two modules as stand-alone or in combination.
Training is delivered in small groups, one-on-one, or on-the-job.
Training can be provided:
- Monday to Friday (in most areas)
- Morning and afternoon sessions
We provide wrap around services to build you employment skills and get you work ready. These include travel support, teamwork, resume writing and job searching, and interview preparation.
Who can access these programs?
Most participants are:
- minimum age 14
- for any support need you may have
Funding is normally provided by:
- NDIS School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES)
- NDIS assistance with finding and keeping a job
- NDIS other funding as required
- Self funding
- CORE funding
- Capacity building
Work Discovery
Covers all areas of getting ready to find work. We help you explore your strengths and interests to find a career that is the right fit for you. We assist you with resume writing, interview preparation, job searching and workplace numeracy and literacy.
Following learning how to get a job, we help you access work experience, as it is important to try different types of jobs before you start working.
Work Fit
Provides you with practical on-the-job skills. Elective modules provide real hands-on experience in a range of industries including “Master Chef”, “Retails Warriors”, “Creative Art” and “Amazing Admins”.
Supports in Employment
Do you need extra help to pursue your employment goals in open or real employment?
We can provide 1:1 or group support for you in your workplace to help you become an independent worker.
Mentoring
Our mentors provide guidance, support, and encouragement to help participants overcome challenges, learn new skills, and achieve their goals.
With a mentor by your side, you can gain valuable insights and perspectives that you may not have otherwise considered, helping you to make better decisions and navigate complex situations.
Mentoring can be a transformative experience, unlocking new possibilities and helping you to reach heights you never thought possible. Whether you are a student, a professional, or simply someone looking to grow and develop, mentoring can provide the guidance and support you need to succeed.
