Press Realse – 2024 AGM

Community Bridging Services (CBS) Inc. held its successful Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, 29 October 2024, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Minor Works Building Community Centre. This event brought together CBS Inc. board members, staff, consumers, and community partners to review participant achievements, the organisations future goals, and to celebrate the past year. 

The evening was led by CBS Inc. Founder and Executive Director, Freddie Brincat, who was the Master of Ceremonies. 

Claude Bruno, CBS Inc. Board Chair reflected on the accomplishments of CBS Inc. over the past year and highlighted the organisation’s ongoing commitment to people with disabilities.Freddie Brincat shared key initiatives, partnerships, and developments that CBS Inc. has undertaken to support the South Australian community.CBS Inc. Board member, Michael Bois presented a financial overview, emphasizing  fiscal health of CBS Inc. in the absence of Treasurer, Lidia Pargaliti.CBS Inc. Consumer Nominees, Stefan Noto and Chris O’Connor shared insights into their roles, achievements, and goals for the future. 

Warren Miller, CEO of the Spinifex Foundation at Ceduna Aboriginal Corporation, presented to guests, discussing collaborative opportunities between CBS Inc. and the community in 2025. CBS Inc. acknowledged eight dedicated staff members reaching their 10-year service milestones. Executive Manager, Corporate Services & Projects, Abby McKay presented recognition awards to Brett Lennox, Lisa Flowers, Justin Kuiper, Liz Moore, Colin Murphy, Janis Moore, Jessica Irving, and Nola Grasby. 

The AGM concluded with a special art auction, led by Mathilde Eldridge, Social Enterprise Coordinator, featuring works by talented local artists. All proceeds supported the artists and CBS Inc. Social enterprise, Bearded Dragon Gallery, highlighting CBS Inc. commitment to fostering creativity within the local community.
