  • How does Spain do it? A guide through the Disability European Union-influenced Spanish system and impact. Marta Navarro Milián, from Fundación Prodis in Madrid will describe the impact of quota legislation on employment and educational opportunities for people with a disability, including the minimum of 2% targets in public and private businesses (+50 employees) and how big businesses like Zara (Inditex group) have embraced PWD. Where the government has offered up to 10% of new positions from PWD, saving 2% for people with ID. This has encouraged Fundación Prodis to promote pathways to university degree programs for more PwID.
  • Australia Versus Spain A comparison of two systems and how we can learn from each other.
  • Specialist Panels on both NDIS and DES (Inclusive Employment Australia) including people with and without a disability, will dive into both programs from a consumer and service providers’ perspective, ensuring a rounded opinion on what works well.
