Adelaide Oval Tour a Great Success
On Wednesday 31st August 2016, sixteen CBS Inc. clients, staff and friends from five different CBS Inc. metro sites enjoyed a great tour of the Adelaide Oval. The meeting point was at the Telstra plaza on War Memorial Drive at 10.30am, where participants had the chance to introduce each other and meet clients from different sites. The group was introduced to tour guides Paul and Bruce, who escorted the party to the induction room where the group watched a short video on the development of the Adelaide Oval and its grounds. The history surrounding the entire complex was truly amazing.
The tour guides split the group into two and took the participants around the oval, including the Sir Donald Bradman collection (no photos allowed), the Grandstand, the heritage Scoreboard, team and training rooms/lockers, SACA training room/lockers, media rooms, bars and many other exciting facilities. The group was also lucky enough to see the historic wall of famous sporting heroes who have lived and breathed footy and cricket and who truly represent South Australian sport, and they especially enjoyed an experience of a lifetime when loud audio of cheering crowds was played through speakers in the walls as the participants were walking out onto the grounds from the training rooms!
Everyone really enjoyed the tour, some friendships were made, and the participants appreciated the efforts of the CBS Inc. team. Thank you to all who attended on the day!
